Bart Verberck is Regional Executive Editor for Berlin at Springer Nature. Bart joined editorial team for Nature Physics in 2013 where he handled manuscripts on various topics, including condensed matter physics and plasma physics. His role as Regional Executive Editor at the Nature Research Berlin office is to oversee the outreach to the academic community and to manage the editors who are based there.

Bart Verberck

Bart obtained his PhD from the University of Antwerp with a dissertation on fullerene crystals. He joined Nature Physics in 2013 after post-doctoral stays at the Research Centre Jülich and the Universities of Antwerp, Paris-Sud and Würzburg, during which he worked mainly on structure-property relationships in carbon materials. At Nature Physics, Bart handled manuscripts on topics from condensed-matter physics, fluid dynamics and plasma physics. ​Bart is now Regional Executive Editor for Berlin. His role is to oversee the outreach to the academic community and to manage the editors who are based there.
