Iulia Georgescu

Iulia Georgescu obtained her PhD from the University of Tokyo in 2008, having studied quantum information and simulation using trapped ions. She was a postdoctoral researcher at RIKEN Advanced Science Institute, Japan and at the University of Basel, Switzerland, where she worked on quantum simulation and the characterization of Coulomb crystals of ions. Iulia joined Nature Physics in 2012, and is currently the Chief Editor for Nature Reviews Physics.
