Senior Editor, Nature, Springer Nature
Michael is a Senior Editor at Nature, handling submissions on atmosphere, oceans, the cryosphere and hydrology. An accomplished researcher, he studied terrestrial ecosystem modeling and remote sensing during his PhD at the University of Montana and spent seven years in the faculty at Utah State University. Michael has honed his scientific communication skills throughout his career, having presented talks and seminars at a variety of institutions, including Stockholm University, Dartmouth and the Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society. He has also hosted his own podcast, the Forecastpod, and written Nature editorials and in Nature Careers.
