Tanya Menon is Professor of Management and Human Resources at the Fisher College of Business, Ohio State University. Tanya completed a Bachelor’s degree in sociology at Harvard University and a PhD at Stanford Graduate School of Business. One of her particular research interests looks at why we often find ourselves stuck in narrow social circles with similar people, what habits confine us, and how can we break them. Her talk on this subject, which received over 2.2 million views, was named one of the most popular Ted talks of 2018. Her research has also been covered in various media outlets including the Wall Street Journal, The London Times, and the Guardian. Tanya has also delivered corporate training events and keynote speeches, and consulted on collaboration across the globe. She co-authored the book, Stop Spending, Start Managing (with Leigh Thompson, Harvard Business Review Press, 2016).
