About Syed Ghulam Sarwar Shah
I am experienced multidisciplinary academic researcher with clinical background. Currently, I am working as Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Guy’s and St. Thomas’ NHS Trust, London. I hold a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from University of Sindh, Pakistan, MA from the International Institute of Social Studies, The Hague, Netherlands, MSc and PhD from Brunel University London. My research interests include health studies research, public health, patients’ access to their electronic medical records, patient experiences, (public) health intelligence, chronic illness and occupational / work outcomes, exposure to non-ionising radiation and user engagement in medical device development and evaluation. I have published articles in peer reviewed journals such as BMJ, International Journal of Technology Assessment in Health Care and International Journal of Medical Informatics. I have presented papers at international conferences held in Brazil, Canada, Malaysia, Spain and UK. I review manuscripts for academic journals such as Journal of Medical Internet Research, Journal of Clinical Epidemiology, BMC Public Health, Journal of Radiological Protection, Scandinavian Journal of Caring Sciences, Physiotherapy Theory and Practice and Journal of Nursing Education and Practice.
