About Patrick Goymer
Patrick has an undergraduate degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge, a doctorate in evolutionary and molecular microbiology from the University of Oxford, and postdoctoral experience in ecological and evolutionary genetics at University College London. He is Nature’s Senior Editor for ecology and evolutionary biology. This includes topics such as climate change ecology, biodiversity, evolutionary genetics, microbial evolution and human behaviour. He is responsible for selecting primary manuscripts within these areas for peer review, managing the peer review process, and overseeing other journal content in these areas. Prior to joining Nature in 2008, Patrick worked as an Associate Editor on Nature Reviews Genetics, commissioning and editing review articles in all areas of genetics and writing research highlights.
